This is the long version of style Amira , the skirt from the very first el.résidu collection. This version is made of 100% cotton that is hand printed with the authentic block print technique. The fabric is stamped with wooden blocks. Each color is a separate layer. These selected prints were either leftovers from a previous production, or were rejected due to color differences that occurred during the drying of the print. Drying simply takes place outside in the sun, so on days when it is cloudy, the colors look different than when there is a clear blue sky. These prints have been developed by a family business that has had a print house in Jaipur for years, which is managed by a brother and sister, who are childhood friends of Priyanka, the owner of our partner Vastraashi.
