Following the successful workshop in THE HUB during Amsterdam Fashion Week, two more workshops are scheduled. These are part of the ''Wear for life'' campaign, organized by the municipality of Amsterdam, OBA Amsterdam, Metropool, and COSH, which aims to encourage people to care for their clothes and embrace alternatives like REDUCE, REUSE & RECYCLE.
The first workshop will take place at the SF.Collective pop-up, where part of the el.résidu collection will also be available for purchase throughout September. This will be held on Friday, September 27th, at 3:00 PM.
During this workshop, you will learn how the eco-dye collection was created and then get hands-on experience upcycling a cotton scarf. These scarves are made from leftover materials from India and sewn by the small organization Shirley Foundation, established by one of our partners who, among other things, developed the block print collection. This organization creates employment opportunities for women in the area, enabling them to support their families. More information on this will soon be available in a new blog post.

The second scheduled workshop will take place during the ''zero waste week'', which features various events in the city focused on waste reduction. Upcycling your clothes when you're tired of them, or when they have stains, for example, is a more sustainable alternative to throwing them away. This workshop will teach you how to easily upcycle your clothes yourself by dyeing them with natural pigments such as flowers and herbs, without the use of chemicals.
This will take place on October 19th at 11:00 AM at the el.résidu showroom, located at Parnassusweg 126 in Amsterdam. Click here to sign up.
